Student Guides for Starting Middle School

Is your daughter or son nervous about middle school?  Our counselors recommend these books from Americangirl.com and Freespirit.com.  Parents are advised to preview the books before giving them to your child.

A Tdap booster shot is required for the 2016-2017 school year for all incoming 7th graders. Please bring a record of this booster shot to the school health office as soon as possible. We suggest you contact the health office to determine if your child’s Tdap immunization record at the school has been updated.  Students without proof of the required Tdap booster will not be able to register for 7th grade and by state law, cannot attend school in 2016-2017.

New immunization requirement for 2016:

Under a new law known as SB 277, beginning January 1, 2016 exemptions based on personal beliefs will no longer be an option for the vaccines that are currently required for entry into school in California.  Personal beliefs exemptions on file for a child already attending school will remain valid until the child reaches the next immunization checkpoint which is 7th grade.
