A message from Parras Middle School:
Dear RBUSD Middle School Families,
We hope you are enjoying the summer. As the principals of Parras and Adams Middle Schools, we are excited to announce a new initiative to enhance the safety of students commuting by e-bike. Starting this school year, all students riding and parking e-bikes on campus must complete an e-bike safety course and registration process.
Our priority is student safety. With the rising popularity of e-bikes, educating students on safe riding practices is essential. This initiative is a collaboration between school and home to ensure safer commutes for all.
The free E-Bike Certification Courses will be available beginning August 10th, and ongoing throughout the school year. Completion of the course will be marked by a sticker with the student's name, which must be displayed on their e-bike to park on campus.
To give everyone time to comply, enforcement of this policy will start in October. After that, parents will be asked to pick up any e-bikes without the registration sticker and be provided instructions to complete the safety course.
We appreciate your cooperation in implementing this safety measure. Together, we can ensure a safer environment and promote responsible e-bike usage.
Please review the information below or attached to register for a course.
Thank you for your continued support,
Sincerely,
Kathleen Shaw
